Travel Tip 36: Bring Your Own Pillow
When you are traveling for vacations or work, one thing you sure won’t want to miss is good quality sleep every night. The last time I traveled with some friends, one of them brought her entire sleep system - pillow, quilt cover and even bed sheet. She said those has special magnets inside to aid her sleep better, even with fewer hours put in.
I usually wasn’t fussy with the bed linen, quilt covers and the likes but I do confess that I’m a little particular about pillows. Some countries fancied hard pillows while some prefer soft pillow. The last time I went to Hong Kong’s Hilton, I had to pile 3 pillows before I could sleep. The lavender scented pillows were way too soft for me. So if it’s more than 2-3 days, I will bring along a travel pillow.
If you also complain about stiffness on the neck and uneasiness in head after travel. Travel pillow is a nice remedy for this complaint.
Most of the travel pillows are made such that they can be folded and kept in travel suitcase or travel bag. Most of these travel pillows are inflatable and can be folded when it is not in use. There are many varieties of travel pillows suiting for different travel purposes. The travel pillows are of different types and are of made of different materials.
PVC pillows are common and are excellent for beach holidays. Bring to Phuket or the Maldives will be ideal. As these PVC pillows are washable, you need not worry about the dust and wet on the pillows, that is, if you chose to bring it out of the bedroom or outdoor tent. I can assured you that it is indeed very comfortable while sun bathing or while reading books. Because it will keep your head and neck at right position even when you relax. If you are the type who insist to have everything nice and cozy, simply bring your own motif covers. By the way, these small travel pillows usually comes with cotton covers or a polyester cover.
Buckwheat hull shaped pillows are in much demand as they are very flexible and can be suitably used in any situations. Also there are different designs, like single air chamber to multiple air chambers.
